 On thursday me,fynn,luke,and blake got to clean the gym instead of doing the market during period 1 and period 2 we sweeped the floor for period 3 we began mopping the floor we continued that in period 4 and in period 5 we drew some chalk arrows and tied balloons around the school to show the public where to go for the market.

Travis Wetlands science trip

Yesterday we went on a travis wetlands field trip for science when we got there we got to pet a mule and their was a horse but it didn't come over. First my group went on a trail their were 15 different points that we had to stop at on the way after we finished that we went bird watching which was pretty fun next we went bug catching using sivs magnifying glasses and a paper with the types of bugs we could catch. then we left.

The windscreen wipers worked furiously to clear the glass from the driving rain. It was no use, he still couldn’t see, so he pulled into a side street and waited for the pelting sheet to ease. Flicking through the radio, a wavering squeal emerged, quickly changing into a fast beated pop song.  Jonesie, as he was called on the rank, shuffled lower into his seat and settled down to waited. Looking up to change the crackling station, he noticed a brown-coated figure huddling in the meagre shelter of a deserted warehouse. Jonesie studied the figure and decided, being a kind-hearted man, that he would try and do something to help.  As Jonesie neared, the brown-coated figure started to shift uneasily, looking up with fearful brown eyes.  “You look pretty cold out here, would you like to come and sit in my taxi till the rain eases off a bit?”, Jonesie asked sincerely. After waiting a bit and receiving no reply, Jonesie headed back for the warmth of the taxi. When he neared the car, he noticed someone behind him and turning around saw that the brown-coated figure had followed him to the car.  “So you decided to come then, eh mate?”, Jonesie queried heavily, as he helped the figure into the passenger seat.  Closing the door, Jonesie thought about what might happen to this poor guy. In the car, Jonesie changed the station yet again finding a country song he thoroughly enjoyed. After the song had finished, he flicked the radio off and turned to his bedraggled guest, noticing that his bones almost protruded through the coat.  “So, aye, where do you come from then mate?”, inquired Jonesie. “That’s if you don’t mind me asking?” His only reply was the turning of the brown-coated figures head, to stare wonderingly out into the menacing dark sky. Jonesie tried again, “Eh, um, what’s ya name then?” The brown-coated figure turned his head in the direction of Jonesie and blinked his fearful brown eyes in reply. Silence followed, Jonesie thinking of what he could do for his silent guest.  Jonesie flicked on the radio again, it crackled and hissed, and then resumed into some teenage trash.  “Come on mate, you must be starving. Lets take ya home and give ya some tucker”, Jonesie said.  The brown-coated figure did not move and his answer was only a deep sigh. The rain had eased and as they drove, the road glistened like oil. Jonesie had finished his shift, so there were no problems. When they got inside his house, Jonesie helped the figure to dry himself, but he never took his coat off.  Jonesie thought this a bit odd but made no further inquiries.  He prepared a meal and the brown- coated figure warmed himself in front of the blazing fire. Six months later, the brown-coated figure and Jonesie spend every night in the taxi, listening to the crackling radio and sharing long conversations with many pauses and deep sighs of reply. The fearful brown eyes are fearful no more and the ragged, tatty coat has been replaced by a thick, warm one. Jonesie and the brown-coated figure spend all their time together, after all, dogs are a mans best friend.	Who is the brown coated figure? Where is the brown coated figure? Why is the brown coated figure following him? What colour is the taxi? Why is he so boney? I wonder when the last time the person ate? Do we know what it is yet? How did the brown coated figure get there? Is it a dog? Did society depress this man? Has he worked himself to death? What is tucker? Why was the figure in a ware house and why was it there? Why did it not want to take its coat off? What is Jonesie’s job?	The dog Warehouse  Because he was lonely and hungry white/yellow/blue He hasn’t eaten A week maybe No Abandoned Yes People did not treat it right. Dog food It is fur Taxi driver

Watch this introduction and video.  

Every time I pause it, I will role-model what questions I have and how do I clarify my thinking.

We ask questions constantly and we make connections with what we already know, this is how the brain operates when it creates understanding when we read texts.  

Our brains constantly question and clarify at light speed - this exercise will slow down the process, to make the skill clearer.

Scene One:   At home An exemplar	First I can see a small space and dim light. It reminds me of the burrows I have seen on tv that animals dig out as their home. I can see they are all huddled together sleeping so there is not a lot of room. The inside of the burrow is brown so it is dirt that has been dug under the ground.
Scene Two:   First activity of the day	First the meerkats wake up and go outside to each admire the fruit hanging from the tree.
`Scene Three:   A feared enemy	A vulture swoops down and steals the meerkats fruit so they attempt to rescue it.
Scene Four: Enemies revenge	The vulture has took their fruit and started to fly away so the meerkats grab each other and grab onto the vultures feet.
Scene Five: The Rescue	The meerkats get launched by the vulture but they land on the vulture in a pyramid position.
Scene Six: Sport nirvana	The meerkats jump off of the vulture and he then crashes into a hill and drops the fruit.
Scene Seven: The End	Lastly the meerkats celebrate by playing rugby one of them kicks it through the goal but then the fruit splats when it hits the ground and breaks.

Firstly the meerkats wake up and admire a fruit.   Secondly a vulture swoops in and steals their fruit so the meerkats attempt to rescue it.  . Lastly . the meerkats get their fruit back and they play rugby.

Beginning	First It starts off with a robot on a dry alien planet that has no plant life but… the robot finds a small plant that cant grow because it doesnt have enough sunlight.
Middle	Next The robot decides he needs to save the plant so he looks for the highest mountain he can find and he climbs it but falls off.
End	Last In the end the robot makes it to the top but he is damaged from the fall but he lets go of the plant and he dies but gets bought back to life and  the plant grew into a big tree so he has given the planet life.

Summary in less than 60 words. 

Firstly the robot finds a plant on an alien planet.    Secondly the robot picks up the plant and carries it on top of a mountain but the robot falls off.      lastly the robot makes it to the top but he dies and gets bought back to life and the plant grows into a tree giving the planet life.
